Ford hybrid SUVs

Still, though, these are fantastic fuel economy numbers in comparison to typical SUVs.

To improve trunk space, the designers at Ford have placed the Escape Hybrid’s liquid-cooled lithium-ion battery outside of the SUV underneath the rear seats. As a result, the Ford Escape Hybrid has 37.4 cu.ft. of trunk space that expands to 65.4 cu.ft. with the back row of seats folded down. By the way, this battery is so powerful that the Escape Hybrid has a best-in-class estimated range of 582 miles. The 2020 Ford Escape Hybrid has a base MSRP of $28,265 and comes in SE Sport and Titanium trims.

Ford also offers the 2020 Escape Plug-In Hybrid, with a 2.5-liter iVCT Atkinson-cycle I-4 Plug-In Hybrid powertrain, an 88 kW electric motor, and an eCVT transmission. This engine produces an impressive 221 hp and 155 lb-ft of torque. Best of all, the Escape Plug-In Hybrid has a Level 1/Level 2 AC charging port, making it easy to charge your SUV anywhere and everywhere. Charging time takes between 10 and 11 hours with a 110-volt Level 1 charger. This is reduced to just over three hours when you use a 240-volt Level 2 charger. The 2020 Escape Plug-In Hybrid has a base MSRP of $33,040 and is available in the SE, SEL, and Titanium trim levels.
