Cargo Storage
First thing’s first. Let’s talk about the cargo area. As previously mentioned, the powertrain system is positioned in the back of the vehicle. That doesn’t mean that the back is incapable of functioning as a cargo area, though. In fact, it’s quite the opposite. With all five seats in use, the new Mustang offers 29 cubic feet of cargo space in the rear. By folding down the back row, you can gain access to almost 60 cu.ft. That’s incredibly impressive for an EV.
This innovative crossover offers a front trunk for stowing away extra items, as well. With five additional cu.ft. of storage space, this area is not carpeted. That means that you can store your carry-on luggage inside or use it to put dirty items from your weekend getaway. This petite space can be easily hosed out, and Ford is currently working on adding a foam insert that can keep ice for up to four days. This is ideal for folk who love to head off on adventures or tailgate at football games.
High Tech and Driver Centric Cabin
As for the cabin, there are several interior features that make this model extremely special. The first one is impossible to miss. It’s the infotainment interface. Displayed in the form of a giant 15.5-inch touchscreen monitor, the infotainment panel is said to be the most advanced system that Ford has come up with to-date. It has not been given its official name yet, but some have speculated that it will part of the Sync 4 tech family. This multi-media system is designed to learn all about your driving habits. Its intuitive nature makes it easier to interact with the vehicle and get your day going more efficiently. For example, the features you use most frequently will automatically pop up at the bottom of the screen for instant access.
Safety Tech
There are also several driver confidence technology packages that may be available for the 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E. The system known as the Ford Co-Pilot360 2.0 adds advanced safety features such as BLIS with cross-traffic alert, automatic high beams, reverse brake assist, a reverse sensing system, post-collision braking, pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking, a lane-keeping system, and a rearview camera. All of these operations work in unison to help prevent accidents on the road. Next is the suite of safety features known as the Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist 2.0. This package adds evasive steering assist, intelligent adaptive cruise control, and navigation. The most advanced package is the Ford Co-Pilot360 Technology suite. This includes active park assist 2.0 and a 360-degree camera system.
Entertainment
For entertainment purposes, the upcoming Mustang Mach-E has been fitted with a 10-speaker premium Bang & Olufsen sound system. Complete with a subwoofer for an optimized music-listening experience, this audio system offers a soundbar with surround sound, adaptive volume, and dynamic sound tuning. In other words, this stereo will give your studio-quality sound during your drive. If you are a music lover, this might be the main selling point!
Another highlighted feature for the cabin is the panoramic fixed glass roof. This is so much more than a sunroof. The glass features a special coating designed to keep the vehicle warmer during the winter months and cooler during the hot summer months. Taking comfort to the next level, you’ll be hard-pressed to find another comparable SUV with a feature like this.
