  • Overview

A grey 2021 Ford Bronco Big Bend is angled left.

For nearly 30 years, the Ford Bronco was one of the most powerful and popular SUVs on the market, offering a gorgeous combination of hard-working design, rugged performance, and a comfortable interior. Ever since Ford stopped production on the Bronco in 1996, people have wondered when we would see the return of this legendary SUV. At last, the long wait is over, and the 2021 Ford Bronco is set to return this fantastic vehicle to the forefront where it belongs.

Although you can choose the Bronco for driving around town or going on a long road trip, where it truly shines is as an off-road SUV. It is clear that Ford has set its sights high on designing this all-new model, and they have not let us down. There are six different trims to choose from on the 2021 Ford Bronco, giving you all the luxury options and sophistication you could want, while ensuring you will get a vehicle that can tackle anything you throw at it. You also have two different engines to choose from, both of which are turbocharged, so you do not have to worry about getting good performance: no matter which one you choose, you are covered.

In terms of off-road features, the 2021 Ford Bronco truly shines beyond anything we had expected. With a solid rear axle, independent front suspension, available High-Performance Off-Road Stability Suspension (HOSS), and up to 11.6 inches of ground clearance available, the Bronco is clearly made to dominate every trail. It even has a max fording depth of more than 33 inches, plus the incredible Sasquatch off-road package is offered on every trim level, so no matter which model you choose, you can turn it into a powerful off-road machine. Come visit us at Kings Ford today to learn more about the all-new 2021 Bronco and reserve your next adventure machine.

The 2021 Ford Bronco's First Engine Option

There are two engines to choose from with the all-new Bronco, starting with a 2.3L EcoBoost I-4 engine that is expected to deliver up to 270 hp and 310 lb-ft of torque. This engine comes paired with a 7-speed Getrag manual transmission, which includes a “crawler” first-gear that is perfect for handling rough terrain. We really like the fact that this “C” gear is located below reverse in the shift pattern of the manual transmission, so you do not have to worry about accidentally shifting into it when driving around town.

    Interested In Even More Power?

If you want more power, then you can choose an available 2.7L EcoBoost V6 engine, which is expected to offer up to 310 hp and up to 400 lb-ft of torque. This engine comes with a 10-speed automatic transmission, which is also available for the standard engine if you prefer an automatic over a manual. Four-wheel drive is standard, with advanced 4x4 available, and ensures you can take the all-new Bronco anywhere you want to go.

  • Off-Road Features

The all-new 2021 Ford Bronco has a lot going for it, and if you simply want a stylish new SUV to drive around town, then it is a fine choice. Where the Bronco truly shines, to be honest, is in leaving civilization behind and hitting the trail. We have not seen a new SUV with this kind of off-road power and potential in a long time, and we are definitely excited to try it out ourselves and see what it can do.

The Ford Bronco Will Keep You Moving Forward

Some of these features will depend on which trim level and packages you choose, so keep that in mind, but a lot of these are not locked to a specific trim, so you can get everything you need. First of all, the standard engine comes paired with a 7-speed manual transmission (though an automatic is available if you prefer) that includes a “crawler” gear that is ideal for dealing with rocks and really rough terrain. When you pair this with the available advanced four-wheel drive transfer case, you get a 94.8:1 crawl ratio that can compete with any other off-road machine out there, even the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon.

You get a solid rear axle with the all-new Bronco, along with an independent front end that gives you a great combination for overall performance. That being said, there is a semi-active disconnecting front sway––you can disconnect it with the push of a button, and it reconnects automatically. There are bash plates and skid plates to protect the underside, including the front differential, and if you choose a two-door model with available 35-inch tires, you can get more than 11 inches of ground clearance. Combine that with more than 33 inches of fording depth, and you end up with a vehicle truly built to conquer the trail.

  • Interior

The brown and black interior of a 2021 Ford Bronco is shown.

One of our favorite things that we have seen with the 2021 Ford Bronco is just how perfectly designed the interior is, with plenty of options so you can get exactly what you need. If you want an interior that is purely designed for functionality, then you can get it; and if you prefer some luxury and sophistication, then you can get that. No matter what you choose, however, the Bronco will keep you comfortable and perform well.

The Road Less Traveled Is Finally Conquered with the 2021 Bronco

There are available marine-grade vinyl seats, which you can choose with a hose-out interior that includes rubberized flooring and removable drain plugs. No matter how dirty you like to get while going off-road, this Bronco is ready for it, and clean-up after the fact will be easy. Plus, the switches, knobs, and other features inside the Bronco are rubberized, and silicone sealed, so if you do hit some water that soaks the interior, everything will be just fine.

If you prefer a bit more of a luxury focus, then Ford has you covered there too. An available 12-inch Infotainment display is absolutely gorgeous and really makes for easy visibility while keeping climate controls and volume settings adjustable by physical knobs, not on-screen touch. There is a modular rack along the top of the dash that you can use for phone mounts or other accessories, and the Bronco’s navigation system can work even without a cell signal––perfect for finding your way while on a new trail.

  • Trim Levels

    A Trim for Every Driver

You have six trim levels to choose from when looking at the all-new 2021 Ford Bronco, with tons of packages and options available for them. Each of these trims has a lot to offer and here is a bit of what you can expect:

    • Base – Simplicity at its finest, the Base trim has everything you need with all of the essentials covered. That includes standard 4x4, easy-to-remove doors, and a passenger-side swinging rear door with a slide-out tailgate.
    • Big Bend – Building on the Base trim, the Big Bend has great options like a leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated seats, and remote start.
    • Black Diamond – The Black Diamond trim takes the Bronco even further with a standard rear-locking differential, steel front and rear bumpers, and heavy-duty skid plates.
    • Outer Banks – A stylish and luxurious option, the Outer Banks trim features 18-inch high-gloss black-painted aluminum-alloy wheels, signature LED headlamps, and an available 12-inch Infotainment display and B&O sound system.
    • Badlands – You get incredible off-road performance with the Badlands, including Bilstein position-sensitive monotube shocks, a stabilizer bar disconnect, and front and rear-locking differentials.
    • Wildtrak – Finally, the Wildtrak includes the Sasquatch Package as standard, featuring 35-inch tires on 17-inch beadlock-capable wheels, the great off-road features of the Badlands, unique hood graphics, and so much more.

Best of all, the incredible off-road-focused Sasquatch Package is available on all of these trims, so you do not have to miss out on everything it has to offer, even if the Base trim is all you need! The all-new Bronco is available as either a two-door or four-door model; the four-door comes with a convertible soft-top standard, though a hard-top is available if you prefer.
