It has an output of 123 hp and 125 lb-ft of torque and comes paired with a 6-speed SelectShift automatic transmission. Standard on the EcoSport SES and an available option across all trim levels is a 2.0L Ti-VCT I-4 engine with Auto Start-Stop technology. This upgraded engine has an output of 166 hp and 149 lb-ft of torque and is paired with the same 6-speed automatic transmission.
The drivetrain on the EcoSport S, SE, and Titanium is FWD unless you opt for the available Intelligent 4WD System, which comes standard on the EcoSport SES. If you are looking for your compact SUV to have some additional traction when it needs it, it would be recommended to go straight for the EcoSport SES or opt for the Intelligent 4WD System on any of the other trim levels. The same recommendation would apply for the 2.0L I-4 engine if you are looking to have a bit more power under the hood. Overall, the EcoSport SES is barely $1,000 more than the EcoSport Titanium, so making that leap for a superior drivetrain and engine seems like a small price to pay.
