Ever since the production of the Ford Bronco came to a halt almost 25 years ago, Ford fans have hoped to see it return with a fresh take on the name they had grown to love. At long last, the wait is over, and the results are better than anyone could have ever hoped for: not just one great Bronco model but two! The 2021 Ford Bronco Sport is not simply a trim, but an entirely separate model with a crossover design that makes it smaller and sportier than the standard Bronco.
Despite its smaller stature, the Bronco Sport is still very-much designed as an off-road beast, with fantastic options across the board. Even if you simply want the Base model of this beauty, you get all-wheel drive, a terrain management system, and a design that is built for adventure all standard. That being said, there are four trim levels available, so you can find the perfect combination of features to give you everything you need. If going off-road is a serious passion for you, then the Badlands trim is definitely what you should have your eye on, with a powerful engine, a boosted suspension with greater ground clearance, and terrific water fording ability.
There are two engines available, both of which are turbocharged, so no matter which one you choose, you know you are going to get a great driving experience. If you want an off-road machine that does not skimp on luxury, then leather seating is available, as is a wireless charging pad and a stunning B&O sound system. All of this comes together to make the 2021 Ford Bronco Sport the perfect option if you are excited about the potential of the all-new Bronco, but prefer something a bit more modest in size. Come visit us at Kings Ford today to learn more about the entire Ford Bronco family, and we will help you find the perfect vehicle for your next adventure.

There is a pair of engines available on the 2021 Ford Bronco Sport, just like there are two engines that you can choose from on the standard Ford Bronco. No matter which engine you choose, however, you get all-wheel drive standard, which means there is really no wrong choice here. It is also worth pointing out that both engines are turbocharged, so even if you stick with the standard engine, you are going to get a fantastic driving experience.
The standard engine in the Bronco Sport is a 1.5L EcoBoost I-3 engine that is expected to deliver up to 181 hp and 190 lb-ft of torque. Yes, we say “expected” because these numbers are still based on internal testing, so there is the possibility that the actual performance when the Bronco Sport is released could be slightly different, but we really expect Ford will deliver on their targets. This engine comes paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission that is quick and very responsive and makes it a lot of fun to drive.
There is also an available 2.0L EcoBoost I-4 that you can get on the Badlands trim level for the 2021 Ford Bronco Sport, which is expected to deliver up to 245 hp and 275 lb-ft of torque. As you can see, this is a substantial boost of power and performance over the standard engine, so you should definitely choose this option if peak performance is really what you want in your vehicle. This also comes paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, though it includes SelectShift with paddle shifters on the steering wheel, giving you more control over it without being a fully manual transmission.
One of our favorite things about the all-new 2021 Ford Bronco Sport is that you have a ton of freedom to get all of the features you want with the bold new design of this SUV. While most manufacturers offer different trim levels on their models, the trims on the Bronco Sport are clearly set up to make it easy for you to focus on what you prefer and go for it. This makes it easier for you to get just what you need without a bunch of extra things that really do not apply to what you prefer and want in your vehicle.
There are four trim levels to choose from with the all-new Bronco Sport. While we do not necessarily have the time to detail every single feature of each of them, we will go over the major options and benefits of each. This should at least point you in the right direction to decide on which trim might be best for you.
When we first saw the all-new 2021 Ford Bronco Sport, we were overjoyed to see a smaller option for this fantastic new family of vehicles. But when we discovered the off-road potential of this SUV, then we were truly blown away. Few other crossovers of this size are able to take you off the beaten path as well as the Bronco Sport can.
Some of these features can depend on which trim level you choose, but every model of the Bronco Sport comes with all-wheel drive standard. You get the new terrain management system standard in the Bronco Sport, which includes Ford’s new Goes Over Any Type of Terrain (GOAT) modes. Every model features modes for sand, slippery conditions, sport, eco, and normal driving. There is also an advanced system available that adds modes for mud and rock crawling to really take you further on the trail.
The standard model of the Bronco Sport has a ground clearance of nearly 8 inches. When properly equipped with an available off-road suspension, however, this is pushed to nearly 9 inches of ground clearance. You can also get more than 23 inches of water fording ability with the all-new Bronco Sport, which lets you really go wherever the trail takes you. Not to mention the available advanced 4x4 system with twin-clutch rear drive unit, which allows torque to go to a single rear wheel even if the other three have no traction, making sure you can get past even the most difficult obstacles and roughest terrain.
