As America’s favorite automaker, Ford has managed to cultivate a reputation for reliable vehicles, and over time, it has become a household name. Not only do they manufacture the country’s #1 truck – the F-150 – but they also make the top ranking SUVs across all classes. And from compact to full-size, you can find all sorts of Ford SUVs right here at Kings Ford in Cincinnati, OH. Let’s explore the latest 2020 lineup!

2020 Ford EcoSport

Designed for fuel-efficient urban driving, the 2020 Ford EcoSport is the perfect ride for city living. Artists and musicians will have enough space to transport their art or musical instruments. Couples with four-legged companions can easily travel to the dog park and enjoy the day, and even small families can use this versatile model to get the kids to school and extracurricular activities. As a compact crossover, it seats five people or lots of stuff – whatever you need!

On a possibly surprising note, when buying the EcoSport, you get to choose between two engine options. The S, SE, and Titanium trims are all powered by a turbocharged 1.0-L 3-cylinder engine that produces 123 hp and 125 lb-ft of torque. Equipped with FWD and a 6-speed automatic transmission, it has an outstanding fuel economy set at 28 MPG combined (27 city/29 highway). The second option is available on the SES model. It’s a 2.0-L 4-cylinder engine that pushes out 166 hp and 149 lb-ft of torque. Coupled with 4WD and the same 6-speed automatic transmission, this powertrain gets 25 MPG combined (23 city/29 highway) and can tow up to 2,000 pounds.

Available in four trims, all EcoSports come standard with a small 4.2- or 8-inch monitor that displays the infotainment interface. This system functions with Bluetooth for hands-free calls and text messaging. You can also stream your favorite music through the 6-speaker stereo system. The 4G LTE Wifi hotspot allows you to stay connected everywhere you go, and two USB ports have been added for charging.

2020 Ford Escape

Stepping up to the 2020 ford Escape will get you a lot more options as far as power goes. You can choose between four various powertrains starting with the 1.5L I-3 engine. Equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission and FWD, it puts out 181 hp and 190 lb-ft of torque. Next is the 2.0L EcoBoost I-4 engine that uses the same drivetrain and generates 250 hp and 280 lb-ft of torque. For folks who are wanting an eco-friendly vehicle, you can choose one of two hybrid powertrains. Each one uses a 2.5L iVCT Atkinson Cycle I-4 engine with a hybrid motor. One is a conventional hybrid, and the other adds a larger battery pack to make the vehicle a plug-in hybrid.

Available in five trims, every Escape comes standard with the Sync infotainment interface, a 6-speaker sound system, and the Ford Co-Pilot360 safety suite. Advanced safety features in this suite include a rearview camera, emergency braking, pre-collision assist, blindspot monitoring, lane-keeping assist, and rear cross-traffic alert.

2020 Ford Edge

The new Ford Edge is a fun model because it just so happens to be the first SUV in Ford’s lineup to join the Performance Team. It’s got quite a lot of pep! You have two options for what rumbles under the hood. First is a 2.0L EcoBoost engine with 250 hp and 280 lb-ft of torque. With FWD, you will get 24 MPG combined (21 city/29 highway), and with AWD, you will see 23 MPG combined (21 city/28 highway). Next is a turbocharged 2.7L V6 engine that produces 335 hp and 380 lb-ft of torque. It also has a pretty good estimated fuel economy set at 21 MPG combined (19 city/26 highway).

Available in four trims, the model that joins the Ford Performance Team is the ST. It adds an electronic throttle, a revised transmission, and active noise cancellation. Standard features on all Edge models include the coveted Co-Pilot 360 safety suite, Bluetooth connectivity, and the Sync 3 infotainment system that is displayed on a large 8-inch touchscreen. A 4G LTE Wifi hotspot is also included on all trims.

2020 Ford Explorer

If you are searching for an SUV with a great reputation as a family-friendly vehicle, look no further than the 2020 Ford Explorer. This full-size model can hold seven passengers, and it also offers 87.8 cu.ft. of cargo room. It’s super versatile and is available as a hybrid and as a high-performance ST model. Who said full-size SUVs need to be boring gas guzzlers? Not us!

The gasoline-powered Explorers have three engines to pick from. First, is the 2.3L EcoBoost I-4 motor that puts out 300 hp and 310 lb-ft of torque. Next is a 3.0-liter EcoBoost V6 engine that generates 400 hp and 415 lb-ft of torque. Finally, there is the 3.3L Hybrid motor that pumps out 318 hp and 322 lb-ft of torque. There is the option for RWD and AWD with each engine, and all are equipped with a 10-speed automatic transmission.

Available in five trims, all of the Explorer models come standard with tri-zone climate control, the Co-Pilot 360 safety suite, remote engine start technology, and a reverse sensing system. Furthermore, conventional gasoline-powered Explorers have a terrain management system with seven selectable driving modes. You may choose from the following:

  • Normal
  • Trail
  • Deep Sand/Snow
  • Slippery
  • Sport
  • Eco
  • Tow/Haul

These modes are displayed on a 12.3-inch digital cluster gauge using 3D graphics.

Every model of the four trims comes standard with the Co-Pilot360 safety suite, Sync 3, push-button start technology, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a 4G LTE Wifi hotspot. For easy and fast cabin configuration, the third row of seating is a 60-40 power-folding/power-reclining seat. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard with the Sync 3 system, and there are plenty of places to charge your mobile devices along the way.
