This is available with either a six-speed manual transmission or an eight-speed automatic, and 4×4 is standard on all Wrangler models. For folks looking to get enhanced performance, there is a 2.0L turbocharged I-4 engine available with 270 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque, which comes with the automatic transmission. Off-Road Capabilities
Although the Ford Bronco offers a comfortable ride that makes it an excellent daily driver, where it truly shines is far beyond where paved roads end. Jeep also provides 17-inch wheels with 33-inch off-road tires and a performance suspension for the Rubicon, with Off-Road Plus mode; an available package adds 35-inch tires for 12.9 inches of ground clearance and 31.5 inches of water fording.
The starting Bronco model comes with a standard 4×4 with part-time selectable engagement, plus a HOSS 1.0 system with heavy-duty dampers. You get 16-inch wheels with all-season tires standard, although 17-inch wheels and mud-terrain tires are available. We like the Badlands model for some serious off-roading, which comes with Advanced 4×4 with automatic on-demand engagement, an electronic-locking rear axle, and 17-inch wheels wrapped in 33-inch all-terrain tires. You can get a HOSS 3.0 system with FOX Live Valve shocks on the Badlands model, front steel bash plates, and a Ford Performance Severe-Duty Steering Rack that can take some serious abuse. The result is more than 13 inches of ground clearance and 33.5 inches of water fording. Best of all: the Goes Over Any Type of Terrain (GOAT) Modes that you get with every Bronco model provide you with incredible control in all kinds of conditions.
Technology and Convenience
Bold performance and rugged off-road capabilities are great, but we are looking at 2025 models, so we expect to see some impressive technology, too. Both Ford and Jeep have a lot to offer in this regard, but Ford has pushed the envelope when it comes to the remarkable technology that you can get with the Bronco. This is about more than large interior displays (although you will find those) and includes advanced tech to enhance your driving experience.
Looking at the Jeep Wrangler, it comes with a 12.3-inch infotainment display, which is nice, but a 3.5-inch monotone Driver Information Display drags down its cabin. A larger seven-inch Digital Cluster Display is available, which is better than the standard screen but still not amazing. Other available features on higher trims include Enhanced Adaptive Cruise Control, an Alpine sound system, and remote keyless entry.
Ford gives you far superior tech features on the 2025 Bronco, starting with a 12-inch SYNC 4 infotainment system joined by a 12-inch Digital Instrument Cluster, both standard. You get a seven-speaker sound system with a subwoofer on the Bronco Base model, plus Remote Keyless Access with Push-Button Start, Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking, and more. Higher trims give you upgrades like dual-zone automatic temperature control, a 12-speaker B&O sound system, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. You can even get tech features to enhance off-road performance like Trail Control (think of it like cruise control out on the trail) and Trail 1-Pedal driving that lets you use one pedal to accelerate and slow at low speeds.
